To ensure that it's a good fit for you, and to get to know you better, the membership process starts by scheduling an intro day where you'll receive a tour and learn more about the dojo community.We encourage you to spend the day with us, co-working and meeting our members. It's a great way to get a feel for our community. No pressure, no commitment, just a chance to see if it’s right for you before signing up.

We're located within the Lafayette Lofts building at 875 Elmwood Ave Buffalo, NY 14222. Enter through the doors right of the small playground on Elmwood Ave., go downstairs, and take a right down the hall to find our clubhouse.Open Tuesday - Friday

(A staff member will be on-site until 5pm but the main building doors close at 2pm)

At the same time any equipment, computers, or personal items you bring into the space are your responsibility, regardless of where you leave them or for how long in the dojo space.To commit to a respectful and harassment-free experience for everyone.Harassment may include, but is not limited to:Deliberate intimidation, online or offline.Stalking or following, online or offline.Harassing photography or recording, or any photograph or recording without permission.Harming the discussion or community with methods such as sustained disruption, negativity, interruption, or blocking of community collaboration (i.e., trolling).Deliberate “outing” of any aspect of a person’s identity without their consent, except when correcting someone or as necessary to protect vulnerable people from intentional abuse.Non-consensual publication of private correspondence, including but not limited to DMs and private channels, text messages, or emails.Unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including but not limited to those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment.Deliberate misgendering or use of ‘dead’ or rejected names.Skeleton Dojo believes in restorative justice, a process that does not rely on automatic absolutes or punishments but seeks to mitigate the harmful impact of an action. There is no single approach or decision, as every conflict is different and will require different techniques as we grow and learn.The staff of the Skeleton Dojo can help determine and oversee the actions intended to repair the harm or conflict between members, but also hope the parties involved will offer the solutions they feel are best. Examples of actions may be warning the offender or facilitating an apology through mediated conversation.Harassing or unsafe behavior is expected to stop immediately, and we reserve the right to take any actions deemed appropriate to maintain a welcoming environment for all members, including the right to decline trial memberships and revoke active memberships.This code of conduct is not comprehensive and may change and update over time to best serve our community. If something or someone has made you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, if you see someone else being harassed, or if you have a concern that’s not covered here, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a staff member in person or by email.
